وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٢١
And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect.

Story
2017 was the year we first met, in a place where we came to learn and prepare ourselves to face the world with independence. Nothing felt special at first, even though we saw each other every day; whether in class, over lunch, or simply escaping the weight of daily routines together. Nothing felt special, nothing was realized, nothing was expected. Nothing, until somehow, we both found ourselves at the lowest points of our lives.
Everyone has their own lowest point, and their own way of getting through it. Some may feel disconnected from the world for a while. But for us, it was in that very moment that our paths were stitched closer together, allowing us to truly see and know one another. And with hearts full of gratitude, we cherish that from the moment we found each other, we have walked hand in hand, never apart.
We came to know each other’s flaws, and we saw the strengths that often went unnoticed by others. From then on, we have been completing each other, slowly growing wiser and more mature together. And just as it will be on the day of our most sacred vow, our purpose has never changed: to live each day the best we can, side by side, for an eternity.
