New semesters have always been filled with exchanged stories and laughter. So was the first week of Marselo’s 7th and Natassija’s 3rd semester. It was one of the early days after the semester break that Marselo and Natassija talked again to each other. She was heading back to her dorm with her classmates and crossed paths with Marselo at the campus hall. He came closer and asked her about the student exchange application progress. This coincidental encounter happened more than once, which was quite weird because they never crossed paths this much before and at that period they ran into each other almost every day, and they talked to each other at every single encounter. Marselo and Natassija grew closer on October 13th 2018, the day when the Radio Station Natassija part-time at was holding an event at the multipurpose building near the off-campus dormitories. As part of the job to promote the launching ceremony through her social media, Natassija posted numerous Instagram Story about the fun out of the event. At the end of the event, Marselo was trying to talk to Natassija, to congratulate her for the launch of her Radio Programme – Pick of the Week. Due to the hecticness, they had have only gotten to said hi to each other because Natassija had to take photos with her Radio Station mates and dinner with the managers later. After the endless agendas, that night thankfully came to an end. While Natassija was scrolling through her photo gallery from the event earlier that night, a notification popped up, @marselositorus: “Yo, so what’s the pick of the week?”.

From coincidental encounters to appointed meetings after class, these two grew closer each passing day. Not a day passed without each other’s presence in it, be it a simple “Have a nice day!” or “How was your day? Hope it was great” texts. Weekends were also filled with studying together at the library, going to church service together, and having dinner at the town center after Natassija was done with her part-time job at the radio. It had become a routine, and each other’s presence became a constant variable in each other’s day. Until December 2nd 2018, Natassija had her first migraine attack while she was broadcasting on the radio station. Being the one who constantly she texted, Natassija asked Marselo to take her to the campus clinic. She didn’t have to ask him twice for him to come and took her to the clinic. A little did they know, the campus clinic was closed every Sunday. Hence, he had to take her to the hospital in the town center. In brief, Marselo took Natassija to the hospital in the town center, and due to the unbearable headache, she vomited in front of him near the gate to the hospital. Talk about one of the most embarrassing moments in her life. Out of embarrassment, she tried to gather herself and walked steadily to the hospital’s ER front door. Gently, he put his one arm around her shoulder and another one helping her to walk steadily. They got into the ER, and Natassija was questioned briefly by the doctors, while Marselo did the administration. Shortly after that, Marselo was coming to the ER chamber Natassija was laying in and told her that he had somehow informed her Mum about her migraine and stomach acid reflux condition and had assured her Mum that she was alright and did not need to come over. At that moment Natassija did not know, was it the 4 PM sunlight that creeped behind his figure while looking down at her or the faint banging in the right part of her head that made her think about it, but all she knew was there was this realization creeped in, “…I think I like this guy”.
